The Social Innovators' Integration Lab (SIIL)'s next public facing event will be a datadive taking place over March 10-12, 2017 at Le Salon 1861. This hackathon-style event will provide participating teams with data from a local social-purpose organization and challenge them to provide insights to specific challenges and questions they face.

For this first edition, participants will work on a challenge experienced by Share the Warmth, a community organization located in Pointe Saint-Charles that serves the surrounding community through its food security, youth activities, and employment training programs, as well as Montreal schools through its school food program. Relying on data from the last five years, the challenge that will be addressed concerns the impact of Share the Warmth's programs and the comparison of these results with the organization's donation trends.

Students and professionals from any background (data science, mathematics, statistics, management, economics, etc.) are invited to register as a team (3-4 people) or individually. Finalists will present their findings to a jury composed of industry and social economy representatives on the afternoon of Sunday March 12. This session will be open to the public in order to share knowledge and diffuse any insightful findings more widely.

Do you want to take part to this unique opportunity? Register as a team or individually, become a volunteer, be a partner of the event, or take part in the closing session!
