Our Clinics and COVID-19: Your Safety

The Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences is committed
to keeping our dental clinics safe and open.

To ensure a safe environment for patients and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, our clinics have implemented protocols and physical space changes mandated by the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux, the Quebec Order of Dentists.

We continue to implement mandatory masking as per the Quebec Order of Dentists recommendations.

To reduce any risks associated with aerosol generating procedures, all patients are provided with a pre-procedure rinse, all such procedures are performed in closed rooms where we have installed HEPA filters, and staff have been supplied with the PPE necessary to work safely and to keep our patients safe.

Community clinics:

The Undergraduate Teaching Dental Clinic is open and implements the same infection control protocols listed above. Community clinics in the Faculty of Dentistry's Service to the Community Program are open and have applied the necessary infection control protocols to ensure the health and safety of patients in the community.

Dental Clinic
The safety of our staff and patients remains our first priority. The Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences will continue to implement the proper infection control protocols as necessary during the COVID-19 pandemic.
