DESCRIPTION:The McGill Dementia Education Program has partnered with AVC-Ap
 hasie Laval to offer a series of free public lectures on neurocognitive di
 sorders.\n\nThese 45-minute lectures will be followed by an interactive 15
 -minute question period. They are intended for members of AVC-Aphasie Lava
 l as well as members of the larger community.\n\nOffered in hybrid mode\, 
 it will be possible to attend via Zoom or to reserve a place at the AVC-Ap
 hasie Laval premises. Registration is required.\n\nPlease note that the co
 nferences will be presented in English in the morning and in French in the
  afternoon.\n\nThe importance of participating in activities\n	October 25\,
  2023 at 11:00 a.m. in English and 1:30 p.m. in French\n\nMarie-Eve Bolduc
 \, PhD\, will talk about the importance of participation in leisure activi
 ties and activities of daily living for people with dementia. She will sha
 re ideas for adapting activities to a person's abilities.\n\nMarie-Eve Bol
 duc\, PhD\, is Assistant Professor at the School of Physical and Occupatio
 nal Therapy at McGill University. Her research interests are directed towa
 rd brain-based disabilities\, pediatric outcome research and simulation ed
 ucation. Using her experience as an occupational therapist\, curriculum le
 ad and simulation educator\, she has been involved in developing material 
 for the McGill Dementia Education Program since 2019.\n\nRegistration : ht
