DESCRIPTION:Caring Conversations is an online forum for care partners of pe
 ople living with dementia to learn from experts\, share concerns and ask q
 uestions.\n\nJoin us on January 21\, 2026 at 11 am EST for a discussion to
  support caregivers of a person living with dementia.\n\nHow to manage beh
 avioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD) \n\nSince we first 
 launched this initiative in 2022\, we have received many requests to offer
  this online forum in French.\n\nWe are pleased to announce that this epis
 ode of Caring Conversations will take place in French and will be moderate
 d by Claire Webster and Carmen Desjardins. We will alternate between Engli
 sh and French discussions for the remainder of the season. The English dis
 cussions will continue to be moderated by Lucy Barylak and Joanne Besner.
 \n\nClaire and Carmen will discuss how to manage behavioural and psycholog
 ical symptoms of dementia (BPSD). They will provide tips for managing diff
 iculties with the activities of daily living\, verbal or physical aggressi
 on and inappropriate sexual behaviour when caring for a person living with
  dementia.\n\nThe Caring Conversations webinar platform allows people to p
 articipate online or by telephone. When you register\, you will be provide
 d with a link to join online\, and a list of phone numbers if you prefer t
 o call in. You will need to register online to receive the link and call-i

 ors for the French sessions\n\nCarmen Desjardins\, BSc(N)\, is the head of
  the Dementia with Psychiatric Comorbidity Program at the Integrated Healt
 h and Social Services University Network for the West Island of Montreal (
 CIUSSS ODIM). She has served on committees as an expert advisor for the Mi
 nistry of Health and Social Services and for the Centre of Excellence on L
 ongevity. Carmen participated in the implementation of the Alzheimer's pla
 n for her sector and in the establishment of the outpatient BPSD (behavior
 al and psychological symptoms of dementia) team for her CIUSSS.\n\nClaire 
 Webster is the founder and ambassador of the McGill Dementia Education Pro
 gram. She is a certified dementia care consultant\, a certified profession
 al consultant on aging\, and a conference speaker and educator in the fiel
 d of cognitive care. She is the founder and president of Caregiver Crosswa
 lk\, a consulting firm that provides education and support services to hel
 p individuals navigate the journey of Alzheimer's disease and dementia-rel
 ated illnesses. As a former care partner to her late mother who passed awa
 y from Alzheimer’s disease\, Claire has lived experience on the impact thi
 s illness has on a person living with dementia and the ripple effect on fa
