Making a Martlet

Making a Martlet is a new workshop for all incoming students who will be living in our residence halls, on both of our campuses. Led by the Office of the Dean of Students, this essential workshop is developed and delivered by a team from across the university to support students’ successful transition into the McGill community. Through a one-hour, interactive session, Making a Martlet introduces students to their rights and responsibilities, McGill’s culture of respect and diversity, education and information on consent, gender and sexuality, and it will introduce non-academic programming opportunities for students! We are proud to announce that Making a Martlet has been certified as a Silver McGill Sustainable Event. To achieve this certification, we implemented actions such as educating our presenters on interacting with diverse population, ensuring our event locations are as barrier free as possible, and reducing the possible waste created from our event.
