Tyson joined the CRCF in October 2017. He had just begun the first year of his Master of Social Work degree in the Children & Families stream. He joined on as a research assistant looking on Jordan's Principle and the opening of the First Nations Health Consortium in Alberta.
Previously, Tyson worked at an overdose prevention/injection site in Victoria, BC. He was there for the opening and involved in frontline policy development. Before that he worked for the Prince George Native Friendship Centre's youth homeless shelter as an outreach worker. He holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Northern British Columbia.
