Tianyu (Jessy) Di is a Master of Social Work student at McGill University specializing in Children and Family. She holds a BSW from Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario. Based on her personal experiences of racism and discrimination while receiving services, Jessy is driven to provide equitable care to children and families from marginalized populations. She brings a social justice and intersectional lens to all aspects of her clinical work and research. Prior to her graduate studies, she has worked extensively in frontline service provision in a variety of settings including: violence against women shelters, community organizations, children’s mental health organizations and social housing. Jessy’s research centres on the impacts of witnessing violence within the family, both intergenerationally and as experienced by children who witness it.
