Nicole Withers is a MSW Student at McGill University, specializing in children and families. She holds a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Scholarship. Nicole holds a BSW from Memorial University. Prior to pursuing her graduate studies, she worked as an Individual Advocate Specialist with the Office of Child Youth Advocate in Newfoundland and Labrador. In addition, she worked for a short while in Nunavut in Indigenous child welfare. Her research interests include child welfare reform including policy and program evaluation, intergenerational cycles, social policy, and impacts and outcomes of trauma and resilience.
