Kharoll-Ann Souffrant

Kharoll-Ann Souffrant is a Master of Social Work candidate (with Graduate Option in Gender and Women’s Studies) at McGill University. She is working under the supervision of Delphine Collin-Vézina, PhD. Her thesis focuses on the responses to sexual violence disclosures by women. Kharoll-Ann holds a BSW from McGill University and a CEGEP DEC in Techniques d’intervention en délinquance (Youth and Adult Correctional Intervention) from Collège Ahuntsic. In 2017, she was a research assistant for the Nicolas Steinmetz and Gilles Julien Research Chair in Social Pediatrics. Prior to her graduate studies, she worked as a counselor for female survivors of sexual violence, adults living with mental health problems. She also supervised visits between parents and children involved in the youth protection system. Kharoll-Ann has close to 13 years of volunteer experience for various community organizations in Montreal. She is also a public speaker on the topic of mental health. To this day, she has given dozens of talks including at TEDxQuébec and WE Day Montreal.
