Eunyoung Lee is a doctoral candidate in the School of Social Work at McGill University. She has a Bachelor’s degree and two Master’s in Social Work from both Korea and Columbia University in the U.S. Before she started the social work PhD program, she worked in a variety of social work settings, creating quality of life programs for clients and providing counseling to elderly patients with chronic illness as well as their caregivers. Overall, Eunyoung’s research areas are societal stigmatization of older adults, caregivers of older adults with dementia, health and social care service utilization, psychological well-being in later life, and cultural competency. She hopes to continue to examine social exclusion, which has an immeasurable impact on the quality of life of older adults and their family caregivers.
