Shayna completed their B.A in Human Relations with a minor in First People Studies from Concordia University. They are currently the principal investigator of the Mapping Project based out of Concordia's Centre for Gender Advocacy. The Mapping Project is a community based initiative that maps the barriers and needs of LGBTQ2S+ students and students with disabilities in order to assemble recommendations for the University. In addition to this, they work with Dr. Zack Marshall at McGill University as a Research Assistant on varying LGBTQ2S+ initiatives and community based projects. Prior to their research work, Shayna spent five years as a facilitator and trainer, facilitating and developing hundreds of sexual violence prevention workshops at community organizations, conferences and for students and teachers in CEGEP's and Universities.
