Hanna joined the CRCF in April 2018. Having recently completed her MSW, she now coordinates a project looking at developing harm reduction, family-focused and community-based interventions in rural Inuit communities. She also supports a project analyzing trajectories of First Nations youth in Quebec subject to the youth protection system. Hanna obtained her bachelors degree from Georgetown University where she focused on culture and politics in the Arab world and has since worked in education, refugee resettlement, and migrant mental health in North America and the Middle East. In addition to her work at the Centre, she currently works for a community organization supporting social integration of refugee women recently resettled in Montreal.
