Yi Wen (Jenny) Wang (RN, M.Ed, BScN) is a trained a nurse and educator. Her work integrates childhood ethics and art to foster children’s voices, ensuring that health resources are created with children rather than for them. She is PhD student in the Ingram School of Nursing. Her research will leverage Virtual Reality technology to develop an innovative educational curriculum for children's surgical care, enhancing children’s capacity to participate in their care.
Jenny is interested in examining children’s lived experiences with acute and chronic illnesses using alternative strategies such as art and play to navigate communication barriers when working with children. By understanding children’s needs, we can begin co-creating resources, interventions, and policies that address their best interests.
