Register for Courses by Email

Follow the steps below if you are new to SCS. If you have already taken a course at SCS, you may register for credit courses online using Minerva.

  1. Complete the Registration Form.

  2. Provide or obtain a Permanent Code using the Permanent Data Code Form.

    A Permanent Code is a unique identifying code assigned by the Ministère de l'Éducation to all students who attend an educational institution in Québec.

    If you have a Permanent Code, fill out field 1 of the form and provide a document that has the Permanent Code pre-printed, such as CEGEP transcript or a Québec financial aid document.

    If this is your first time attending an educational institution in Québec, or if you can't remember your Permanent Code, fill out fields 2-8 of the form.

  3. Based on your residency status, gather the necessary legal documents.

    Canadian Citizen

    • Canadian Birth certificate, if born in Canada
    • Canadian Citizenship card - (both sides)
    • Valid Canadian Passport

    If you were born in Québec:

    Please provide your government issued Québec birth certificate bearing the mention “Certified” or “Certifié conforme.”

    Permanent Resident

    • Permanent Resident card (both sides)
    • IMM 1000 / 5292 (record of landing).
    • Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) - if you were issued one 

    International Student

    For students wishing to study for more than six (6) months:

    • Valid Passport with Study Permit
    •  Québec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ)


    For students wishing to study for six (6) months or less:

    • Valid Passport with Visitor’s Permit or valid entry stamp
    • Valid Passport with Work Permit.


    Note: All visas must be valid until the last day of the admitted semester.

  4. Send all documents to us by email.
