Business Development Intern

We are looking for a resourceful, passionate, innovative, and self-motivated thought leader to join our launch team. The ideal candidate will support the staff in developing and executing outreach on social media platforms and promotional campaigns to boost brand engagement and growth. This is a great way for an energetic student to get on-hands marketing and launch experience in a fast-paced Starts up environment. The chosen candidate will have a substantial opportunity to make a significant impact and really gain valuable experience in a critical time of a Start up’s life cycle.

The preferred candidate is:

• A person with a disruptive innovation mindset
• Energetic self-starter
• A student in Business / Sales, digital communications, or a related field such as advertising or sales
• Has impeccable oral and written communication skills
• Familiar with the major social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram
• Highly organized and attentive to details
• Nimble and able to quickly pivot strategy
• A rapid multi-tasker who can keep many irons in the fire

 

Internship Tasks

1. Get hands on experience designing and propagating social commerce pre-launch content.
2. Assist with the design and execution of social media presence and campaigns, while developing, iterating, and executing on strategic target hypothesis.
3. Facilitate and propose various aspects of the sales/business development process and build relationship with potential partnerships.
4. Create effective outreach pitches and business plan development.
5. Work alongside digital marketing and social media teams to create effective business development channels which convert

 

Expected Outputs

1. Report the designed social commerce pre-launch content to the supervisor, Business Development.
2. Run social media campaigns alongside the supervisor
3. Report on the business development steps to be taken to actively build and maintain partnerships
4. Write selling business proposals that wins clients
5. Report on the co-created business development channels to the supervisor, Business Development
