YCNG 234 Internet of Things (5 CEUs)
The Internet of Things (IoT) is an important source of relevant data for different industries. It permits to collect and process information about the physical world in real time. This course will examine applications of IoT, the fundamental technologies that support IoT devices and the transmission, processing, the analysis of the data they generate, and the fundamental software and hardware technologies that support IoT devices; data transmission protocols; tools to process the data generated by IoT devices; data analysis techniques that enable common applications related to IoT devices.
YCNG 235 Recommender Systems (6 CEUs)
Have you ever wondered how the message: “Customers like you also purchased the following items…” appears on your screen when you are shopping online? Recommender Systems use machine learning algorithms that help users discover new products and services. There exists a wide spectrum of recommender systems applications that help users choose movies, restaurants, music to listen to, jobs to apply to, products to purchase, social media profiles, among many others. This course will explore fundamental concepts and techniques in recommender systems: similarity models, non-personalized, content-based, and hybrid systems; association rules mining; collaborative filtering: user-, item-, and graph-based models; matrix factorization; graph recommenders, sequential recommenders, evaluation of recommender systems.
YCNG 299 Project Management Capstone (5 CEUs)
Integration of all the knowledge and skills acquired during the course of study in the Project Management program. Team project under the guidance of a course lecturer to apply project management methodologies, tools and techniques in practice. Develop and present a complete project plan and recommendations to help a non-profit community or public sector organization achieve a specific goal.
YCOPD 001 Introduction to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

This online course allows participants to gain fundamental knowledge about post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as described in DSM‐IV‐TR . Participants – professionals or students in mental health – will learn how to recognize the symptoms associated with PTSD and assess their frequency and intensity. This course also allows participants to familiarize themselves with the concepts of distress and peritraumatic dissociation.

YCPD 003 Agile Project Management: Practice & Certification Preparation (5.0 CEUs)
Overview of agile project management concepts, practices, processes, and methods. Agile mindset, values, ethics, and conduct. Organizational factors and implementation of agile practices. Agile Scrum framework. Agile communication, collaboration, and team coaching. Access to PMI-ACP-style exam questions to assist with preparation for the Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® examination administered by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
YCTEN-EPT English Entrance Placement Test (EPT)

In order to begin studying in the Certificate of Proficiency – English for Professional Communication, all new students (except for the beginners level) are required to take the Entrance Placement Test (EPT). Test results are used to evaluate the student’s current level of proficiency in our program structure. Students can take the test only once per session and the results are valid for one year only.

All students who wish to register for the Written English for Workplace Communication course must first complete an online placement test of written English. The test will evaluate your proficiency in written English and will determine your level within our program's structure. Students have 90 minutes to complete the test, which consists of three parts: Part 1 - The sentence (answering questions) Part 2 - The paragraph (writing an email) Part 3 - The text (writing a letter) Once you have registered you will receive an email confirming your participation and providing detailed instructions on how to access the test. The placement test takes place online and can be done at any time during the active testing period. Test results are valid for one year. Students can write the test only once per session.

YCTSP-CSP Spanish Classification Test
All applicants are required to take the Classification Test before they can register. Only true beginners can enter directly into Level 1 without having to take the test. The Classification Test lasts approximately one hour. It is free of charge. An appointment is not necessary and results are available one week after the test date.
