Wong Building - Sustainable Materials Processing Facility
Construction start: May 2017
Construction end: August 2018
The sustainable materials processing facility ("foundry") of the Wong Building is at the heart of advanced materials research. World-class work is being carried out in rapidly growing sectors (surface coatings, advanced manufacturing, light metal alloys and semiconductor processing). The renovated premises and upgraded systems will meet building standards and codes, ensure the health and safety of employees, and help broaden the scope of research.
This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Post-secondary Institutions Strategic Investment Fund.
