Exterior (downtown)

In support of McGill Principal Suzanne Fortier's priority of transforming McGill's campuses, Facilities Management and Ancillary Services is implementing a landscaping plan that includes several exterior projects.

Among these, the restoration of McGill's iconic Roddick Gates and the reconstruction of the terrace on the east side of the Leacock Building were completed respectively in 2016 and 2017, the redesign of the McTavish Gates area in 2018-2019 and the lower section of the main road of the downtown lower campus in 2020. The redesign of the west-side terrace of the Leacock Building into an exterior amphitheatre is expected to be completed by the end of 2021.

This section also includes details of other exterior projects, such as those aimed at improving the exterior envelope (façade, roof, windows, foundations) of McGill buildings.
