In support of McGill Principal Suzanne Fortier's priority of transforming McGill's campuses, Facilities Management and Ancillary Services is implementing a landscaping plan that includes several exterior projects.
Following the restoration of McGill's iconic Roddick Gates and the reconstruction of the terrace on the east side of the Leacock Building in 2016 and 2017, other major projects will start in 2018, including the reconstruction and redesign of the McTavish Gate area.
This section also includes details of other exterior projects, such as those aimed at improving the exterior envelope (façade, roof, windows, foundations) of McGill buildings. A new building is also going up between the James Building and the Wong Building in 2018. This new building will house two generators that will provide power during emergency and peak periods.
