This project consists of modifying heating systems to create energy recovery loops. Cooling units and heating systems that currently operate independently will be connected to one another so that the heat generated by one building can be transferred to another building where it is needed. These changes will allow for greater control of the mechanical systems and therefore provide enhanced comfort to occupants. Optimizing energy use will support the University’s efforts to reduce its energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
