Rutherford Building – Nanotools Microfabrication Laboratory
Start: August 2017
End: Completed
The McGill Nanotools Microfabrication Laboratory supports a number of leading-edge research and development programs in the fields of energy, information technology and biomedical applications of nanoscience and microfabrication. This project includes the replacement of the lab’s heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems and the upgrade of the dangerous goods storage and distribution in order to minimize the risk of leaks and other incidents. A new gas detection system will also be installed and the footprint of the lab increased to accommodate new research equipment.
This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Post-secondary Institutions Strategic Investment Fund.
