DESCRIPTION:\n	ISS Informal Systems Seminar\n\n	Speaker: Georgi Medvedev – Dr
 exel University\, United States \n\n\n \n\n\n	\n\n	Abstract: We study a clas
s of evolution equations\, which are derived as a continuum limit of inter
acting dynamical systems on convergent graph sequences. For systems on ran
dom graphs\, we present a dynamical law of large numbers and a large devia
tion principle. We also discuss applications to the analysis of synchroniz
ation\, pattern formation\, and metastability in the Kuramoto model of cou
pled oscillators.\n\n	\n	Biography: Georgi Medvedev received Ph.D. in Mathem
atics from Boston University in 1999. Before coming to Drexel University i
n 2002\, he was a Veblen Research Instructor at Princeton University and t
 he Institute for Advanced Study.\n\n
