Environmental Biotechnology
Our research focuses on the fundamental aspects of cell, microbe, and protein attachment to surfaces. These processes are important in a wide range of environmental applications such as groundwater contamination, water treatment (e.g., membrane filtration), and food safety, as well as several biomedical applications (e.g., development of biomaterials and prevention of disease).
