One-time access

Otto Maass and Pulp & Paper building rules:

Internal Visitors:

Prior to entry: You must request building access using the PDF iconInternal (McGill ID) access form a minimum of 2 business days prior (please note that weekends, holidays, McGill's Summer Friday's - Every Friday from June 25th until August 20th do not count toward this 2 business day notice. You will receive an email confirming your access once it has been processed, please do not try to enter the building prior to receiving email confirmation. The day of your access, you must fill out the “COVID-19 self-assessment” form that can be located under the “personal” menu in Minerva.

Entering: There is only one entrance point for both Otto Maass and Pulp & Paper and it is the Otto Maass main doors.
You must scan your card in two places when arriving:
1. The card reader outside Otto Maass
2. The bar code scanner inside
Please make sure to sanitize your hands at the sanitizing solution dispenser nearby.

Leaving: You can exit the buildings through either of the two designated exits. Do NOT exit through any other doors. One exit is the West door of Otto Maass ground floor lobby entrance. The other one is the main door of Pulp & Paper.
Before exiting through the door, you must scan your ID card at the bar code scanner and sanitize your hands at the sanitizing solution dispenser nearby.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the scanner has recorded your card upon entering and exiting the building (the computer will display a “scan successful” message). If you accidentally leave without scanning, please send an email with the time of your exit to linda.delpaggio [at] mcgill.ca as soon as possible.

External visitors:

Prior to entry: You must request external visitor building access using the PDF iconvisitor form a minimum of 2 business days prior (please note that weekends, holidays, McGill's Summer Friday's - Every Friday from June 25th until August 20th do not count toward this 2 business day notice. Both you and your host must sign the form prior to sending in your request to department.chemistry [at] mcgill.ca. You will receive an email confirming your access once it has been processed, please do not try to enter the building prior to receiving email confirmation. The day of your access you must answer the 3 questions at the bottom of the access form and send them to department.chemistry [at] mcgill.ca. You must bring a copy of the access form either electronically or physically with you upon your visit.

You will need to show the security guard a copy of your access. Please make sure to sanitize your hands at the sanitizing solution dispenser nearby.
