 available here!\n\nThe TechAccelR program supports eligible McGill Univers
 ity Principal Investigators (PI) and their team by enabling them to accele
 rate their research-based ideas with commercial potential that are reporte
 d as inventions but need further validation as part of the commercializati
 on plan. The program is offered biannually (spring and fall) and includes 
 grants that can go up to $15\,000 within 6-month program period per invent
 ion/technology\, along with personalized business mentorship. For 2026\, t
 he budget will allow for up to 10 projects per round to be selected. Fundi
 ng of the TechAccelR proposals is at the sole discretion of the McGill Eng
 ine team. We will look at the comparative merit of the application pool an
 d the project criteria.\n\nThe TechAccelR grants are short-term for projec
 ts that can be completed within up to 6 months maximum\, and that are need
 ed to advance or enhance an invention/technology in order to improve the s
 cope and value of McGill’s IP and enable researchers to obtain further fun
 ding for commercialization. The TechAccelR grants are not intended to supp
 lement existing funded projects. The TechAccelR project proposals are co-w
 ritten with the PI's technology transfer manager\, please consult with the
 m at least 2 weeks in advance of the proposal deadline. Some examples of t
 he short-term scope of work goals: improved claims in future patent applic
 ations\, new uses/applications of existing technologies\, gathering additi
 onal data to further demonstrate proof of concept (e.g. increased robustne
 ss/reliability of AI/ML models)\, obtaining data to compare/benchmark the 
 technology to existing technologies to show its competitive advantages.\n
 \nIn addition to funding\, teams are matched with a Ronald Chwang Entrepre
 neur-in-Residence to help advance their technology commercialization plan 
 and provide industry connections.\n\nProgram Objectives\n\n\n	Validate earl
