Congratulations to Desautels undergraduates O’Nell Agossa, Vera Barile, Alana D’Amico and Noemi Holczer for winning the inaugural 2018 Lazaridis International Case Conference hosted by Wilfred Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario from Oct. 7 to 13, 2018, as well as to Vera Barile for securing the award for Best Speaker.
In response to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) put forward by the United Nations, Unleash 2017 assembled youth from across all continents to Denmark for ten days of untethered ideation to help resolve some of the world’s most persistent issues.
Congratulation to Desautels undergraduates Amir Fawzy Guirguis, Charles Lavoie-Aubuchon, Maria Power, and Samantha Simpson for winning the 2017 CBS Case Competition in Copenhagen, Denmark, as well as to Amir Fawzy Guirguis, in particular, for securing the award for Best Speaker. The latest win at CBS coincides with Desautels’ record of achievement at the international case competition, first securing a win in 2015 and then coming in second the following year.
A Desautels undergraduate student case team composed of Jordan Bonneville, Wendelina Lai, Joshua Phoon and Luohan Wei made the finals at the 15th annual Copenhagen Business School Case Competition (CBS CC) held on February 29 to March 5, 2016.
Four BCom case teams made the finals at the 38th annual Inter-Collegiate Business Competition (ICBC) held at Queen's University from January 14 to 17, 2016 with the Debate team finishing second and the Ethics team taking first place.

Desautels MBA students, Alaa Abulhuda, Soeren Klatt, Lauren Merkel and Thomas Weber, took 2nd place at the 7th annual Financial Executives International (FEI) Best in Class Invitational Case Competition held in Toronto from November 15-17, 2012. After placing 4th in 2009 and 3rd in 2010, this is our Faculty’s highest placement thus far at this prestigious competition, which includes the top business schools from across Canada.
