Quest for Excellence Growing up in Canada, Lubna Al Kharusi did her Bachelor's in Commerce from McGill University. She returned to Oman because 'it was sunny, tax free and her family was here.' She joined the finance department of Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) in 1997. In her stint covering 10 years at the company she handled various responsibilities like budgeting, treasury, financial accounting, change management, investor relations, well engineering, financial services etc. She was cross posted to Shell in London from PDO.
