Freshman Course Approval Form for U0-Newly Admitted students

As a Freshman Program student (U0 year) you will be using the Freshman Course Approval Form between June 15 and August 31 to have your course selection approved by a Faculty adviser in Arts OASIS. You will not have a departmental academic adviser until your second year (U1 year). You are, however, encouraged to contact departmental academic advisers if you have specific questions about prerequisites or about the requirements of the program(s) you are considering.

CaPS Summer Business Hours May - August 2016

CaPS office hours are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.  During the summer, May – August CaPS will be closed from 12:00 noon – 1:30 pm.   The Brown Student Services Bldg. is open on all Summer Fridays.  Please contact the Brown Bldg. Reception Desk at 398-8238 for assistance with your questions.   Friday access to the Brown Building is by the McTavish Street entrance.  Student casuals, trained to greet and assist visitors, will be available at the main Reception Desk situated at this entrance.

In memoriam : Dr. Terry Tannenbaum

 It is with deep sadness that we inform you that Dr. Terry-Nan Tannenbaum passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 17, 2016 surrounded by her family.  Terry was as an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine.   Donations may be made to the "Dr. Terry Nan Tannenbaum Memorial Fund for Education" c/o the Jewish General Hospital Foundation (514-340-8251). Mecheng in Canada's top 5 for undergrad admissions standards

The mechanical engineering admissions standard at McGill University is among the five toughest among all undergraduate programs in Canada. The rankings, based on acceptance rates and entrance averages, come from University Hub and were published online by Yahoo Canada.

Mecheng students shine at AeroTech Conference

Mechanical Engineering majors Hussain Buxwala and Mikel Garcia-Poulin were part of the 11-student-strong "Gang from McGill," which shined at the 2015 SAE AeroTech Conference and Exhibition in Seattle, WA, and earned a feature story in the SAE International magazine "Momentum."

Scholarships available for one-credit course taken in collaboration with l’École d’été

This August, McGill University’s School of Continuing Studies (SCS) will be hosting L’École d’été, a yearly event organized by l’Institut de Nouveau Monde. L’École d’été will bring together 500+ youth to engage with civil society leaders on a variety of issues related to social engagement in Quebec.
