Marking the sixth year of participating in the 2018 Rotman International Trading Competition (RITC), a team of Desautels’ students took 1st place in the MATLAB Options Volatility Case. The team consisted of BCom students Matei Popescu, Jasmine Chi, and Percy Ahn; Masters of Management in Finance students Zacharie LeBlanc and Joanie Grimard; and PhD candidate Chengyu Zhang.

McGill University, in association with Manulife and the McGill Centre for the Convergence of Health and Economics (MCCHE), is pleased to announce that Dr. Jean-Pierre Després, Professor at the Department of Kinesiology, Faculty of Medicine at Université Laval and pioneer in developing screening techniques for visceral obesity, is the winner of the 2018 Manulife Prize for the Promotion of Active Health.

Luiz Barreto, an MBA exchange student at Desautels, represented the Faculty as a finalist in the Wharton People Analytics Case Competition, which took place on March 22 in Philadelphia.
