In order to move into its new permanent home, the Marvin Duchow Music Library will close on Friday, April 29, 2005 at 5:00 pm. It will reopen at its new location, 555 Sherbrooke St. W. (northwest corner Sherbrooke/Aylmer), on Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at 9:00 am.
Due to noxious fumes that will be produced by painting in the ground floor stairwells of the Bronfman Building, the Library will be closed this Saturday, March 12, 2005. The library will remain open till 9 pm on Friday, March 11. Full service will be available.
2004 marks the 75th anniversary of the Osler Library at McGill University. We are pleased to introduce a new publication to honour this occasion: "75 Books from the Osler Library," edited by Prof. Faith Wallis and Mrs. Pamela J. Miller.

Due to unforeseen requirements of the climate control installation in the Division of Rare Books and Special Collections, construction will have to take place on the third floor of McLennan Library in addition to the previously announced closure of the fourth floor of McLennan.
As a result of renovations to the Rare Books and Special Collections Library, the 4th floor of McLennan Library Building will be closed from May 25 to August 31, 2004.
Materials in the Peter Marshall Laing Special Collections Room (Wainwright Collection, Rare Canadiana, etc.) of the Law Library are unavailable for consultation during the month of May while temperature and humidity controls are being installed. We regret the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
Thanks to a generous donation from Dr. Richard Tomlinson, the collections will be housed in stable environmental conditions. Please contact the Division by April 30, 2004, to make special arrangements for material.
The new faculty term loan policy requires that all faculty and their authorized borrowers bring books due April 30, 2004, to the owning library for renewal or return. Since this is an inventory return, online and telephone renewals are not available. Faculty loans after April 1 are due December 15, 2004.
