The new washrooms on the 1st floor of the Redpath Library Building will be closed from 7am Friday, October 30 until 7am Monday, November 2. As of November 3, 2015, when you access a Books24x7 e-book through WorldCat Local or from a link on the Library web site, you'll be able to access the e-book simply by logging in with your McGill username (email address) and password. You will no longer need to create or use a separate Books24x7 account to access these e-books.

Today the Library launched our subject guides on LibGuides, a specialized publishing system that makes it easier for us to provide you with helpful information that is easy to find and use. You can access these guides as you normally would through the Subject Guide links on the home page. Note: The URLs for the guides have changed, so any bookmarks or links that you have created to these subject guides will need to be updated.
Update: Friday, August 14 at 4:44 PM OCLC is reporting that the system issue has been resolved. They recommend that anyone still experiencing issues with the WorldCat service clear your browser cache and try again. If you continue to experience issues with WorldCat, please let us know!
Unfortunately, we have had to scale back our plans for making changes to the design of the Library home page. Instead, we will be limiting ourselves to making a few small changes to the content displayed in the current design. Specifically:
