Jean-Pierre Michaud, BCL/LLB’00, and Christopher Dye, BCL/LLB’03, win the Air Canada Oratory Competition

Jean-Pierre Michaud and Christopher Dye respectively received the Prix de L’Orateur Air Canada (section francophone) and the Air Canada Oratory Competition Prize (English section) for their rhetorical skills.

Andrée Boisselle, BCL/LLB’99, a 2008 Trudeau Scholar

Andrée Boisselle, who currently is doing a Ph.D. in Law at the University of Victoria, has received a Trudeau Scholarship as she studies indigenous legal traditions for her thesis, "Making Room for Indigenous Law in Canada: Towards a Reconception of Western Legal Theory".

Two law students inducted into Scarlet Key Honour Society

Sopinka Cup win for Rahman and Newhouse

McGill University has captured its first Sopinka Cup. This weekend, the mooting team of law students Monika Rahman and Mareike Newhouse took home the Sopinka Cup and three of the five individual prizes, too: Best Opening Statement (Rahman), Best Closing Statement (Newhouse) and Best Overall Advocate (Rahman). The Faculty of Law offers them its warmest of congratulations!
