Rhiannon Gainor, School of Information Studies PhD student, named ASIS&T New Leader

Rhiannon Gainor, McGill School of Information Studies (SIS) doctoral student, has been named a 2013-14 ASIS&T New Leader. SIS MLIS Archival Studies student Allana Mayer wins ProQuest scholarship for electronic information services

Allana Mayer, School of Information Studies MLIS II student is the winner of the ProQuest Roger K. Summit Scholarship, open to LIS students worldwide! The Roger K. Summit Scholarship, awarded annually by ProQuest, recognizes LIS students who demonstrate outstanding interest or performance in electronic information services. The award is the equivalent of US $5,000 and will be presented at the Special Libraries Association (SLA) Annual Conference.

SIS alumna & McGill Librarian Maya Kucij awarded Librarian Excellence Award

School of Information Studies alumna and Education Liaison Librarian Maya Kucij (MLIS '08) has been awarded the McGill Library's 2013 Librarian Excellence Award. The award recognizes a McGill librarian who has demonstrated excellence in academic librarianship and has shown efforts to improve library services through innovative practice, initiative and resourcefulness.
