It is with great pride that we announce that Dr Maxine Dumas Pilon has recently accepted the position of President Elect of the Québec College of Family Physicians (QCFP) http://www.cqmf.qc.ca. Dr Dumas Pilon will be the first president from McGill since Richard Handfield–Jones (1989 -1990).  Her mandate as a president will start at the QCFP Annual General Meeting during the Family Medicine Forum in Québec City next Fall.

On October 25, 2013, the Department of Family Medicine inaugurated its new offices at 5858 Côte-des-Neiges.

The Chancellor of McGill University, Mr. Arnold Steinberg, the Vice-Principal of Health Affairs and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. David Eidelman, along with the Chair of the Department of Family Medicine, Dr. Howard Bergman, made the Department’s new location official by means of a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
