Patrick Anderson (UC San Diego) will discuss his most recent book, The Lamentations: A Requiem for Queer Suicide, and the intimate, sometime impossible-to-bear relationships between queer archives and mortality.
The Department of English Students Association is launching its first installment of regionally specific African and diasporic literatures. This first installment will focus on Nigerian and Yoruba traditions. DESA is pleased to welcome Titilope Sonuga—former Edmonton Poet Laureate and first poet to perform at a Nigerian presidential inauguration—as this year’s keynote speaker.
