INESSS releases report to Ministry of Health

INESSS (Quebec's National Institute for Excellence in Health and Social Science has released two reports with recommendations regarding access to psychotherapy. Dr. Martin Drapeau, of our Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, co-authored these reports, and is the principal collaborator on this project.

Dr. Ada Sinacore receives CPA Counselling Psychology Section Distinguished Member Award

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Ada Sinacore, of the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, is the 2015 recipient of the CPA Counselling Psychology Section Distinguished Member Award. This award was officially bestowed at the recent annual convention of the Canadian Psychological Association. This award recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the field of counselling psychology.

Education graduates celebrate Spring Convocation 2015

On May 29th, close to 450 Faculty of Education students walked across the stage to receive their degree at the convocation ceremony held on McGill’s main campus. The Hon. Michael A. Meighen, Chancellor of McGill, opened the ceremonial proceedings with the colourful customary procession led by piper Jeff McCarthy.  The convocation tent was filled to capacity with proud family members cheering on the graduates as they were ‘capped’ by Principal, Suzanne Fortier, before receiving their academic degree.

ECP's Sandy Stanutz to Ottawa Citizen: "Very thrilled" about Grammy funding

Researchers receive Grammy Foundation grant for work with autism, music

Sandy Stanutz, a postdoctoral fellow with the McGill Youth Study Team, along with her mentors, Professors Jacob A. Faculty of Education at McGill's BRAVO Gala

McGill’s annual Bravo gala is a time to celebrate the best of the best in McGill’s research community by recognizing those researchers who have been awarded major provincial, national and international prizes. This year, Professor Russell Hepple, Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education, was among those recognized. The Montreal General Hospital Foundation awarded him the 2014 Nesbitt McMaster Award for Excellence in Medicine and Surgery.
