Mr. James McMullan gave a guest lecture to the Honours in Investment Management (HIM) students.
He gave an overview of the credit investment process at CDPQ, a firm with over $286 billion under management. He also discussed the investment lifecycle and the importance of managing relationships beyond the exit phase of a deal.
Since assuming the helm of HEC Paris in 2015, former Desautels dean Peter Todd (BCom’83) shares some information on the School’s progress to-date, which includes innovative course offerings on entrepreneurship, as well as increased student financial aid to render business education more accessible.
Desautels Global Expert, Andy Nulman (BCom’83), will be joining the Festival du rire de Montréal initiative as a consultant, bringing much of his experience as the co-founder of the Just for Laughs festival to bear.
The Festival du rire de Montréal aims to refresh the concept of comedy festivals, while also putting the creativity and talent of local comedians in the international spotlight.

Guest Lecture with Honours in Investment Management (HIM) students
Mr. Damon Conway spoke with our Honours in Investment Management students. He broke down one of the major deals he worked on while he was with Onex Corporation, the acquisition of Husky Injection Molding Systems. He gave the students insight into the process and engaged in a back in forth discussion about the risk and opportunity with the ultimately very successful deal.
