Environ 90 % des fermes laitières au Québec recourent à la stabulation entravée. Selon cette formule, les vaches mènent toutes leurs activités dans la stalle : elles y mangent, y dorment et s’y font traire. D’où l’importance de leur fournir un espace favorable au bien-être.

Les fermes du Québec génèrent chaque année 75 millions de tonnes de plumes de poulets! Une partie est réduite en farine et ajoutée à la nourriture animale, mais le reste finit souvent dans les poubelles. Marie-Josée Dumont, professeure au Département de génie des bioressources à l’Université McGill, ne pouvait imaginer laisser une telle ressource gratuite et disponible en aussi grande quantité finir sa vie aux ordures.

The Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue City Council has voted in favor of banning left turns on boulevard des Anciens-Combattants northbound at the intersection of the ramp for Highway 20 West between 16h00 and 18h00. The changes will go into effect on September 17, 2018.

Rest assured that officials from Macdonald and John Abbott College did make a representation to the Town about the potential impact of this decision on the campus community prior to the decision being taken.
