  \n\n\nProgram: \n\nCollaborative Research and Training Experience (CREATE
 ) Program \n\n\nDescription:\n \n\nThis program supports the training of t
 eams of highly qualified students and postdoctoral fellows from Canada and
  abroad through the development of innovative training programs that encou
 rage collaborative and integrative approaches\, and address significant sc
 ientific challenges associated with Canada’s research priorities\; and fac
 ilitate the transition of new researchers from trainees to productive empl
 oyees in the Canadian workforce.\nThese innovative programs must include t
 he acquisition and development of important professional skills among stud
 ents and postdoctoral fellows that complement their qualifications and tec
 hnical skills.\nPrograms should encourage the following as appropriate:\n
 \nstudent mobility\, nationally or internationally\, between individual un
 iversities and between universities and other sectors\;\ninterdisciplinary
  research within the natural sciences and engineering (NSE)\, or at the in
 terface between the NSE and health\, or the social sciences and humanities
 . However\, the main focus of the training must still lie within the NSE\;
 \nincreased collaboration between industry and academia\; and\nwith the ad
 dition of the industrial stream\, an additional objective is to support im
 proved job-readiness within the industrial sector by exposing participants
  to the specific challenges of this sector and training people with the sk
 ills identified by industry.\n\n\nValue: \n\n$1\,650\,000 CAD for 6 years.
