DESCRIPTION:The first two Institutes of Jurilinguistics\, held in 2005 and
 \n2006\, attracted a great deal of interest and a wide range of\nparticipa
 nts from the fields of legal translation\, terminology\, law\nand language
 \, and jurilinguistics training.\nEarlier this year\, the Network of Juril
 inguistics Centres was\ncreated to give a concrete structure to the long-s
 tanding\ncooperation between the four Canadian jurilinguistic centres: the
 \nQuebec Research Centre of Private and Comparative Law (Montreal)\,\nthe 
 Institut Joseph-Dubuc (Winnipeg)\, the Centre for Legal\nTranslation and D
 ocumentation (Ottawa)\, and the Centre de\ntraduction et de terminologie j
 uridiques (Moncton).\nWithin the framework of the new network\, we have de
 cided to\nrevive the Summer Institute of Jurilinguistics. The Québec Resea
 rch\nCentre of Private and Comparative Law will organize the 2009\nedition
  here at McGill. We expect that it will be a fruitful and\ninteresting day
  for participants.\n \n
