 candid\, 30-minute interviews with leading experts\, Claire Webster\, Foun
 der of the McGill Dementia Education Program\, explores topics related to 
 caring for a loved one who is living with dementia.\n\nMcGill Cares: Overc
 oming Caregiver Guilt and Building Your Circle of Care \n\nZelda Freitas\,
  MSW\, is a social worker and clinical advisor in professional practice wi
 thin the Department of Rehabilitation and Multidisciplinary Services at th
 e CIUSSS Centre-Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal. She is also an assistant profe
 ssor and course lecturer at the School of Social Work at McGill University
 . Zelda’s work focuses on caregivers and caregiving\, older adults\, and p
 sychosocial practice\, including palliative and end-of-life care. She is a
  founding member of the Caregiver Grief Connexion project and brings both 
 professional expertise and lived experience as a former caregiver to her l
 ate parents.\n\nDuring this episode of McGill Cares\, Zelda will explore t
 he emotional weight of caregiver guilt and how it can impact well-being. S
 he will discuss practical ways to recognize and release these feelings\, w
 hile highlighting the importance of building a strong “circle of care.” Pa
 rticipants will learn how to share responsibilities\, access support\, and
  accept help in order to sustain compassionate\, balanced caregiving.\n\nT
