Perimeters Graduate Conference

Perimeters, a new graduate conference by AGSA, will be hosting its inaugural session on March 21, 2026, at Thomson House. Notoriously messy and elusive, the “field” is a thorny problematic for many of us before, during, and after fieldwork. This conference invites papers that sit with this trouble in order to engender new ways of thinking and theorizing the “field.”

Our inaugural conference will include graduate student presenters from McGill University, Concordia University, UQAM, Carleton University, and UOttawa. We will also be joined by Prof. Kregg Hetherington (Concordia University), who will be giving the session's keynote talk, entitled "Composing the Field."
