 attend virtually.  Preliminary program includes keynote\, faculty talks\, 
 trainee flash talks\, career luncheon and poster session.\n\nKeynote: Dr M
 an-Wah Tan\, PhD on the 'Expanding the chemical space for novel antibiotic
 s to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR)'\n	Dr Man-Wah Tan is Vice Presid
 ent and Senior Fellow\, Infectious Diseases and Host-Microbe Interactions\
 , Research Biology at Genentech\, Roche Group. \n\nFree event in-person\, 
 registration required - deadline is May 28\, 2025\, at 5:00 PM.\n	 \n\n\nAM
 R Symposium - Call for Poster Abstracts \n\nAll trainees (undergraduate\, 
 graduate and post-graduate) are now invited to submit poster abstracts. Tr
 ainees from McGill and other institutions are encouraged to present their 
 work on all topics with relevance to antimicrobial resistance research\, f
 rom fundamental\, applied\, population or social science disciplines. Pres
 enters must attend in person on June 5th. \n\nNEW this year - flash talk a
 wards! Trainee 4-minute oral flash talks in addition to poster presentatio
 ns. Early bird submission deadline extended to May 23\, 2025 to be conside
 red. Final abstract submission deadline – May 28\, 2025 at 11:59 PM. Place
