 dees to consider the issue of food insecurity within Northern Communities\
 , with an emphasis on the Quebec region\, and how the business community c
 an play a role in transforming food systems. Participants will learn about
  the intersections of socioeconomic inequity\, food prices and non-traditi
 onal means of food sourcing.\n\nThis event will feature:\n\nCameron McRae\
 , a doctoral student at the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill Univ
 ersity. Cameron holds a Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarsh
 ip – Doctoral (CGS-D) for his research on how marketing practices and digi
 tal tools can be designed and implemented to support equitable\, healthy\,
  and sustainable consumer decisions. Cameron also teaches a course on ‘hea
 lth and society’ to Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) students at the First Na
 tions Technical Institute (FNTI) in Tyendinaga\, Ontario. FNTI is an Indig
 enous-owned and governed institution that brings together students from co
 mmunities across all of Ontario for Indigenous-based education programs\, 
 such as the BSW program that is offered in partnership with Ryerson Univer
 sity. Cameron is a member of the Huron-Wendat First Nation in the region o
 f Wendake\, Québec.\n\nJulie Katsuak Lussier is a third year Desautels stu
 dent at McGill University concentrating in accounting. She is from Salluit
 \, Nunavik\, and is based in Montréal\, Québec. Her academic training incl
 udes diplomas in languages\, and business administration at John Abbott Co
 llege and in sociology at Concordia University. To date\, she has worked a
 t the regional government level\, in NPOs\, as well as in retail\, before 
 having enrolled into the accountancy program at McGill with the aim of cre
 ating projects and policies related to economic development in northern re
 gions. She is also a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces in which sh
 e earned her basic military qualifications.\n
