Panel Discussion: Living in Peace in The Shadow of War
ICAN-McGill and the Canadian Association of Jews and Muslims, in cooperation with CRARR and JSpace Canada and with support from the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding would like to invite you to a panel discussion with Samah Salaime and Vered Marom from Wahat al-Salam Neve Shalom. Wahat al-Salam Neve Shalom is a village of Palestinian and Jewish Citizens of Israel dedicated to building justice, peace and equality in Israel and the region. It is a model of equality, mutual respect and partnership that challenges existing patterns of racism and discrimination as well as the continued conflict.
Samah and Vered will be joined in conversation with ICAN Founder Professor Jim Torczyner to discuss how the vision of peace which Wahat Al-Salam Neve Shalom espouses, intersects with broader movements for peace, justice and equality in the region, especially in light of the ongoing conflict.
ACCESSIBILITY: This event is free and open to the public. Wilson Hall is wheelchair accessible from the rear entrance (opposite from James Administration building). If you have any further accessibility questions or needs, please do not hesitate to contact us.
