The Future of Legal Education
McGill's Faculty of Law and Thomson Reuters invite you to a round table discussion focusing on the future of legal education and how to capture the opportunity and address the challenges of a rapidly changing legal profession:
- What training will the lawyers of the future need to be successful?
- Are future lawyers being encouraged to think broadly enough about the scope of possibilities that a legal education offers?
- What are the changing expectations of employers of law graduates?
- To what extent do those training future lawyers need to evolve?
Our panel will be composed of professionals representing a cross-section of the legal community. They will candidly discuss and debate current issues surrounding the future of legal education. In attendance will be representatives of private practice, in-house, academia, judiciary and the law schools. The event will be followed by a cocktail reception.
