 ial seminar marking the end of the NSERC funded portion of the 6-year prog
 ram. We will be celebrating with a seminar by the internationally renowned
  researcher Professor Pinar Keskinocak and will conclude with a short pres
 entation by Professor Verter about the achievements and progress of the CR
 EATE HOIM Program. The lecture will take place in the McGill Bronfman Buil
 ding (1001 Sherbrooke Street W\, Room 360).\nPinar Keskinocak\nProfessor &
  William W. George Chair\nGeorgia Institute of Technology\nAbstract\nIn th
 is talk we will give a high level overview of OR/MS applications in health
 care\, and then discuss examples which focus on patient-centered decision 
 making. The examples include vaccine catch-up scheduling decision support 
 tools for children\, adolescents\, and adults\; decision support tools for
  transplant surgeon and patients regarding when to accept or reject a high
 -risk organ\; prenatal screening considering women’s preferences\; and sug
 gestions for physicians regarding who should be monitored by cEEG and for 
 how long to detect seizures in the brain. The contents of the talk are bas
 ed on collaborations with various faculty\, students\, and partners from o
 rganizations including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and 
 Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.\nBio\nPinar Keskinocak is the William W.
  George Chair andProfessor\, and co-founder and co-director of the Center 
 for Health and Humanitarian Systems in the Stewart School of Industrial En
 gineering\, and the Associate Director for Research at the Health Systems 
 Institute at Georgia Tech. She also serves as the College of Engineering A
 DVANCE Professor. Her research focuses on the applications of operations r
 esearch and management science with societal impact\, particularly health 
 and humanitarian applications\, supply chain management\, and logistics/tr
