Verreault-Paul named OUA Pioneer Energy male athlete of the week

HAMILTON, Ont. -- Francis Verreault-Paul of the McGill Redmen hockey team is the OUA Pioneer Energy male athlete of the week.


The  5-foot-10, 180-pound winger from Mashteuiatsh, Que., tallied three goals and a pair of assists over three games, helping McGill claim their first-ever CIS men's hockey championship in Fredericton, N.B ., last weekend.

 

Verreault-Paul, a 24-year-old psychology senior who was named as McGill's player of the game in each of McGill's first two University Cup contests, also received the Major W.J. 'Danny' McLeod Award as the most valuable player of the tournament.
