Updated - Compulsory Influenza Pandemic Training Program for all Nursing students assigned to clinical sites

Published: 26 October 2009

As part of the H1N1 pandemic planning, all students doing clinical rotations must complete the on-line training modules prepared by the Ministère de Santé et Services Sociaux for all health care workers.  The School of Nursing is responsible for ensuring that all students have completed the modules by November 20, 2009 (deadline extended) and has set up a web form to that effect.

Teachers at the School are making special arrangements to release students from clinical to complete these modules.  Students should check with their clinical course coordinator for more details.

Visit http://www.medicine.mcgill.ca/nursing/influenzatraining_form_en.htm for :

  • a link to the modules prepared by the MSSS

  • instructions on which modules to complete

  • confirmation that you have completed the training.

Students who have not completed the modules by November 20 will have a note placed in their student file under accountability/professionalism, and will not be able to start their clinical placements in January.
