Spotlight Athletics: Redman / Desautels MBA student earns all-star status

David Simon of the McGill University men's soccer team has won coach-of-the-year honours and four of his players have earned a berth on the league all-star squad in voting conducted by the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec.

McGill defenders Alexis Pradié, a native of Marseille, France, and Thomas Lucas of Kirkland, Que., were first team selections while teammates George Banks of Baltimore, Md., and Yohann Capolungo of the Auxerre-Vallan region in France, each merited a second-team berth...

Pradié, a six-foot, 175-pound defender, finished tied for sixth among Quebec league goal-scoring leaders with four and was 10th in points with five in 11 games. The 24-year-old MBA student is in his first year with the Redmen after transferring from the NAIA's Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
